“Humility is the solid foundation of all the virtues.” - Confucius
I woke up feeling vibrant and excited to start another school day. It was just a regular day except that we were in London this time. I turned on the TV to catch up with the morning news and called room service for breakfast.
I looked outside the window and was surprised that the fans were still outside the hotel. This time, their number doubled or should I say tripled. Happiness were evident on their faces as they kept on gazing towards Mr. Jackson's room.
The children came in with the usual sweet smiles on their faces. They were really a breath of fresh air. My mornings couldn't be more perfect with these angels around.
We then went back to our designated places and tried to continue. But as time went by, the chants and screams were getting louder making it impossible for us to concentrate. We needed to stop what we're doing because it was useless since we couldn't hear each other.
As soon as the fans stopped , we continued and managed to make it through the day.
At around 6pm, I called room service for dinner. I was told that they were not expecting me since our group went out . Well, I said I didn't know about it and will just order instead.
After a few minutes, the phone rang and the Manager spoke with me. He said he called our Head of Security and informed them that I was still at the hotel.
The phone rang again, this time our Head of Security called and said that somebody is coming back to pick me up. He apologized and thought that I was already informed and was on the other car with the rest of the group.
When I got to the Japanese Restaurant, I found out that they didn't start dinner because they were waiting for me.
Me: I'm so sorry. I'm late. I didn't know.
Mr. Jackson: Come join us. I'm sorry. I was told that you were with the group.
Me: Nobody told me that we're dining out. Thanks for waiting.
Mr. Jackson: No problem. We could now start.
That was one moment I would remember as long as I live. Being the superstar that he was, he waited for a "nobody" like me to start dining. It was so sweet of him to do such thing.
I've heard of several stories about celebrities mistreating their workers and I felt so blessed not to be working for them. I felt bad for the workers though having to go through hell with their "bosses."
If there's one thing that I miss about Mr. Jackson, it was his kindness that made a huge impact in my life. This man has only shown me love and respect. He was a beautiful soul. No amount of false accusations and malicious lies could stop me from adoring the King of Pop.
